I've always had a love-hate relationship with AEW, but this year was the year of no recovery desu. I was happy just to see an alternative promotion to WWE when AEW formed, even though I knew we'd see some cringe because the Bucks were there. Hated some of the booking and the heavy PWG influence from the start, but did appreciate that they were trying to push new guys like Darby and MJF. They also got some value out of ex-WWE guys like Rusev and Brodie Lee. Then they started hiring every ex-WWE guy, especially the HHH NXT shitters. Then TK botched almost everybody who organically got over, coupled with Punk KWAB'ing himself despite Tony giving him everything, the hilariously bad attempt at an AEW 'Four Pillars', the interim title bullshit that just caused more booking headaches, the way Tony allowed a white hot Bryan Danielson to cool off, and the disaster attempted push of Garcia and Yuta, because Tony Khan's long term booking means putting all his bets on a frail CM Punk and giving Adam Cole a sustained main event push even though it's abundantly clear he's physically falling apart and looks like a cancer patient.
Also MJF's current Super Jew run is like a bad parody of Super Cena and seeing some smarks defend the WWE superman booking is hilarious to see.
>>12351257>Tony KWAB is the problem. He has the tastes of your typical IWC neckbeard combined with the instincts of a highly incompetent politicianCouldn't have said it any better, hah. His booking decisions really do remind me of the fantasy booking I'd see indy marks do on wrestling forums I used to lurk.
