The real reason he turned down the CW deal is if he took it, WBD would probably say no to anymore AEW crossovers. Which means it would have to have its own real brand split, and none of his AEW draws would want to go to ROH and ROH doesnt have any exclusive "draws"

They're divested from it, it's not part of their portfolio anymore. The minority ownership thing is part of the transition of Nexstar getting it for cheap. It's just a way for WB to recoup some of its debt

I just don't think exclusivity would make sense for anyone involved.
Also NXT may not have an exclusivity clause so ROH might end up on there anyway.

the NWA was initially going to get a TV deal with the CW and a few weeks later, WWE announces their own deal with the CW with the NWA out of the limelight due to the cocaine incident during Samhain. Funny enough, this didn't affect their deal to have NWA's content on the CW app.
