Easy. That was back when Orange Cassidy was this weird stoned slacker who didn't even try and got his ass brutally kicked like the comedy jobber he was. That spot was funny because it was so low effort. But then he started winning matches and instantly became pure cancer.

That was never his gimmick. It wasn't that he wasn't "trying," it was that he wasn't committed to the work but go along with it anyway. It's always been a retarded meta gimmick to pop the smarks who'd go see his matches every few months. And then he'd bust out spots where'd he'd actually "try" just so those same retards would post "OC can actually go when he wants to!" Even though his shit has never looked good.

No it wasn't. The idea that Cassidy was playing mindgames is some retcon bullshit Tony made up. The point of OC vs PAC was that OC finally snapped and got mad enough to try for once but he still lost because in the end he's a comedy jobber. That's what he should have stayed as because he was actually good at it.
