Believe it or not, Tony already knew about Punk's imminent arrival in WWE. That's why he didn't sperg out on Twitter (he's had days maybe weeks to digest it).

How did he know? Through legal. Pretty sure Punk's and WWE's lawyers went over the termination contracts and any potential lawsuits from Tony Khan, which means: open disclosure (protected by the very same NDA Tony had Punk sign).
