So now that AEW is on deaths door, does this mean that there will never be a true rival promotion to WWE?
Investors must be looking at this and thinking

I doubt AEW is going anywhere any time soon. If TNA managed to survive this long, AEW will be fine.
But even if they do die, something else will fill the vacuum for a very simple reason: when WWE is the only show in town, they stagnate. Thats when people crave an alternative, and latch on to the exciting new thing. And every time this happens, less of those lapsed fans return to WWE when the experiment ends.

Probably not. I think when AEW kicks the bucket there will be a noticeable lack of non-WWE wrestling compared to 2018. You might see a more grass roots internet-monetization based indie scene, but we've had several moneymarks and ex-wrestlers try to run a competing fed and all of them failed. Surely Khan's failure will be the final missing caravan that proves the trade route's unsafe for anyone else with the means to start a new fed.

TNA management know how to manage their money. Khan has no idea what he's doing and even if his dad's money is virtually unlimited at a certain point he won't want his name attached to the lolcow of an entire industry and will pull funding.
