This is how you do it. Bearing in mind that WWE fans already don't care about AEW, so there's no point trying to bring them over in any meaningful numbers. What needs to happen is they need to create new fans.

I’d start by signing random backyard wrestlers and indie guys from the Appalachias and forcing jarring segments and tag teams between them and established talent. Every night will be three hours of wrestlers maiming each other through dangerous or tacky stipulations. Seeing how AEW is nothing but midgets who can only play fight, any of them who threaten to ruin my show or no show will be strong armed by my Kliq of tweakers. I would run the roster through a number generator to decide booking, MJF vs a random Indie shitter one night in a barbed wire death match, Skye Blue vs crackhead Billy Bob Brawler from Virginia Backyard Wrestling Federation in a hell in a cell the next.
I’d generate traction with smarks by inviting journalists to the shows and put them through unbearably uncomfortable arrangements. From having a low level security guard interrogate them for the first hour of the show about their “fake” passes to stressing them out by talent having “shoot” fights backstage during interviews, or paying the crackhead backyard wrestlers families backstage to bother them and insinuate physical violence in retaliation for any bad reviews. The guests will be served Mountain Dew and a sugary cereal for their time. I’d have everyone on my roster keep kayfabe like it’s the 80’s, having the hillbilly backyard wrestlers constantly shoot attack their opponents in public and cause a massive disturbance and I’ll bail them out of jail if they’re arrested.
I think I’d take the route of making AEW such a nightmare people will watch just to see how much more fucked up each week gets, because God knows nobody on AEWs roster can or ever will draw dimes.
