Spite is a powerful motivator for a lot of people
Punk is exceptionally spiteful and vindictive when he wants to be, he quit wrestling out of spite, he joined AEW out of spite, he insisted on his own brand out of spite.
He will 100% be on his best behaviour out of spite to AEW, that's how he wins and beats them in his mind. Literally any rumours you hear are likely working the sheets from here on out because HHH has the sense to roll with the rumours like that while Tony was too much of a cowardly moneymark to.
