>>12491837My takes:
>John MorrisonObviously had a 10/10 look and a great gimmick, but absolutely no charisma as a heel and negative charisma as a face. The Miz pretty much kept him buoyed, but he peaked as a singles guy against Punk in 2007. Was never going to be the guy.
>CarlitoVery hyped, but I never saw the appeal. Was always very well pushed, given titles, worked with top guys, but a combination of laziness and lack of drive to be better meant he was never going to be the guy either.
>MVPIf he hadn't gone to prison and started so late, could have been a huge player. Didn't get the push as a result and by 2009/10 he was clearly pretty bitter and frustrated about it. Also a terrible fucking finish.
>THE Brian KendrickCouldn't stay off the weed and was still too small for the era, but great look and gimmick. Better on the mic than Bryan, who eventually broke through. Does he ever get pushed though? Gut says no.
>Mr KennedyWas a surefire thing before the steroid bust. But his failure to replicate that momentum in TNA probably shows they were right to not go with him. Had a great cage match with Angle, but at that point in his career, Angle could have had a great match with Marko Stunt.
>Chris MastersNot a chance. Midcard gimmick, juiced to the gills with no charisma. Even his "renaissance" period sucked and anyone that tells you different is wrong
The real answer was Lashley, who was pretty clearly going to be the next guy before he left. Remains a huge what-if.
