Regal was great on the mic and in the ring, but I guess the ring style that he was so good at was falling out of fashion as he was on the rise. And obvious his addictions didn't help.
There's very few people who have been constantly employed in numerous wrestling companies in high-level spots since retiring and Regal is one of them. The people who do this professionally for a living seem to have a lot of respect for his work.
