There's one guy at work I talk to about wrestling and that's it. He has good knowledge in fairness. Everyone else that I know either never watched it or only watched it when they were a child. You just have to accept that it's a niche interest that most adults think is cringe and stupid

Go to indies and chat to the few obvious non-smarks you see. There are usually like 2 or 3 groups of normal looking dudes hanging around who are mates with someone on the card.

I met some decent people from indie shows because they are either people trying to make it to a real company, friends with someone who is there, or just like wrestling and will go see it even if it is shit. When I studied overseas Sami and KO would wrestle in this bar they drag a ring into, and most people were actually fun to hang around with.
Also, OP, try sports bars on PPV nights, there should be one or two in your city that are popular for wrestling fans to go to, some legit retards attend but the normal people usually sit somewhere seperately.

I bought a Cody Rhodes American Nightmare necktie from ShopAEW. I wear it to parties. Someone who doesn't know what it is assumes I'm one of those "back the blue" huntin' n' fishin' types. People who do know what it is go "Is that a Cody Rhodes tie?" and we talk wrestling. It is the single best piece of wrestling merch ever created because it allows you to fly under the radar.

I went to a Raw a few weeks ago. First event I’ve been to in a very long time. It’s unreal how some wrestling fans are. I don’t mean that they’re just weird or nerdy. I expected that. So many of them just have no sense of how to conduct themselves in public. Like they literally are unfit for society. Adult men who will scream profanity at the top of their lungs despite the fact that there is a family with small children directly in front of them. A complete disregard for the norms of personal hygiene. And marks. I had no idea that there were actual marks still out there. Like flipping out and getting legitimately upset about heels doing heel things. These guys are the reason that I’m embarrassed when normal people find out that I watch wrestling.
