Legit attendance numbers from way back are impossible to track, but this must be the first time in ages Noah sold that many tickets in the same year. However, once again it has to be stated that it's a very artificial number that was only possible because of Mutoh's retirement shows. Month after month it becomes more clear that Noah is closer to be left behind by AJPW than to retain the second spot in annual ticket sales in 2024. That leads me to the next point...

>Stardom had another disappointing month, with the Tag League final being a disaster in the box office. Losing a quarter of your roster to injuries will do that to you. However, there is some hope that things might get back on track soon, as seen with their last show at Korakuen, which was on its way to be another disappointment but sold 400 more tickets after Utami Hayashishita and Saya Kamitani's returns were announced. People do miss QQ at their best... Let's see how they do at the ppv tonight.

No console war shit. Is wrestling dead in Japan? It's not like they're a small country. There's 100+ million people in it. Feels like Western fans care more about Japanese wrestling than the Japanese themselves.

Of course there are, but I'm saying that the weebs don't acknowledge when business is bad over there and pretend its all great. And they are the ones who dominate conversation about Jap wrestling over here, so its always biased.

We are gone from the golden era of sold out domes multiple times a year, let alone them ever happening

But NJPW in 2019 was literally at its best in financial terms because Bushiroad knew how to maximize profit from their audience in ways that Inoki had no clue back in the 90s. And it's heading in that direction again.

Japan is much smaller than the USA.
WWE is a TV show more than anything else, all of these promotions are just touring house shows.
Wrestling in Japan is far more about attending live than anything else and they have a lot of options, mostly in Tokyo. In the USA you have WWE, which killed everything else a long time ago, and some WWE imitator companies. The sleazy indy stuff exists in both markets too, but BJW is the closest to that here, in this list, and I'd say they are far more respected than the likes of GCW in the US
