They don't make any money from the podcast anymore, ever since the Colin Thomson lawsuit and the settlement they got behind closed doors they're not allowed to make a profit from podcast networks. The only way they can make money now is from Youtube clicks.

They've been doing this before the whole Kast Nedia fiasco. The real reason is ad revenue. You watch clips while waiting for the full episode. That and you get views from people that don't watch the entire podcast.
