There aren’t many movie fans that say the top directors are the best ever and the lesser known ones suck. It’s usually the opposite. The reason for this, I think, is brand loyalty. If you grew up with WWE all your life, you may not be open to new styles or promotions. I get it. I used to be that guy, I thought the picture of Misawa standing outside of MSG was pathetic because he wasn’t competing in it. It took time, but I realized it doesn’t matter. Misawa is a legend no matter what. When the AJPW stuff clicked, I thought Misawa was the best wrestler ever.
