The world economy took a shoot fall off of the scaffolding and broke both knees 3 years ago.
It hasn't recovered yet, and there's a good chance the economy's ACL will remain an issue for decades to come.
TV companies are completely dependent on ad revenue and the advertising companies are flat broke because manufacturers and service companies can't afford to advertise their products and services anymore.
At the same time, the TV ratings and thus the ad price are digging a new bottom below the barrel.
This very situation is why there is a deal with the Cock and why there's a WWE Network.
WHEN TV completely collapses and all the money is gone, the WWE will be forced to use streaming services, either their own platform or the platforms of streaming partners.
In lieu of that, they'll have to amp up the house show business and return to ancient form until they find a way to improve the financial output of streaming.
This whole economic collapse is also why the WWE got sold.
Vince knew the rights deals wouldn't happen, at least not for one or two of the products and if there's a deal somehow, that it would fall flat when the cable companies croak.
He can unironically restart a wrestling promotion with all the money he has.
He's getting out of TKO now, if rumours are to be believed.
Can you imagine Vince leaving TKO, then the market crashing down hard, and what TKO is going to cost?
He's picking that whole company up, the job lot, everything.
Just a thought. Money's worthless when it isn't being used. Vince hates worthlessness.
