This dude was gifted the biggest storyline in the company for two years, yet people were bored of his actual title reign a few weeks in (the revisionist history is that everyone was angry when Punk beat him). I think this is what sucks the most about it.
The moment it finally started getting good and he started becoming an interesting character, they slapped the belt on Punk who would go on to fuck up the belt days later

They should’ve ran with that.

I know the punk feud showcased more of his character because everything he was saying was more “real” but I wish they kept to having him think of himself as a savior of AEW while slowly becoming more and more unhinged.
It’s all in hindsight, but he really should have not dropped that belt at least until all out.
