Vince McMahon spent a decade on commentary before ever actually admitting he owned the promotion and booked it. Vince used that time to learn how to talk and get over with the audience. When he finally became a character during the AE he was fully developed and new how to work the mic perfectly.

Performers need that time to iron out the wrinkles and develop themselves. Tony just threw himself out there raw and looks like a clown because of it.

You guys are the ones lying. Tony has been a character maybe 2 or 3 times in the entire of AEW's existence, once on AEW Dark, once on Dynamite in an MJF/Cole segment, arguably early on in the first year when he was unseen talking to Mox, and he has delivered non-character announcements a similar amount of times. Appearing roughly once a year does not make you talent. Dr Luther has more appearances than him.
