>>12563442No one really wants to admit it but AEW has pretty much killed the indies. Signed up every big indie name. Which made WWE do the same. So now there’s very little name value on the indies. Guys get released and inflate their booking fees or can’t adapt to the scene and create staying power.
Then on top of that, a lot of these indie wrestlers will wrestle the AEW style, which is a mix of American indies and New Japan. But then indie shows come off like a worse version of Dynamite. All no selling and comedy and big bumps for nothing. So anyway, there’s no unique identity to the indies. Good talent doing a shitty version of already shitty wrestling.
