the mistakes they have made early on have finally compounded. they were never great, they were barely okay and they were only interesting because WWE was in the gutter and AEW had a lot of potential.

2021 AEW was pretty good, like not just "good because it has potential and it's new", but actually pretty compelling television.

If they wanted to watch AEW, wouldn't they keep the cable? What is the troons argument even supposed to be? That people don't find AEW worth watching? We already knew that, and it's even funnier that WWE's ratings have increased at times when households with cable decreased.

Esto, tan mucho esto. But in all seriousness, the reason NBC overpaid for Smackdown is exactly because so many WWE fans spend a large percentage of their TV time watching WWE programming. I know when I had cable, I'd watch/DVR Raw and Smackdown, then everything else was random. WWE was the one constant, once I stopped watching, I canceled cable. Didn't need it any more.

AEW was never was an average milly; the milly was always an outlier. BUT the milly frequency was greater then than it is now (I couldn't tell you the last time they drew a milly).

I'm doubting they're ever going to be draw a milly again.

Furthermore their attendance has PLUMMETED as the hope and hype the promotion had is gone. That is the major difference then and now. It feels like they've peaked, plateaued, and are declining. The irony is that there is a negative relationship as Tiny blows greater amounts money now than then stacking the roster with WWE shitters, the declines.

If this is true, as we assume an equal number of AEW viewers to the total of all cable viewers, cut cable then AEW should have about 827k viewers. So their viewership is actually ok now. They just haven’t grown at all.
