Which means every promo feels generic, even when the guy has good mic skills or bad. They are always caught somewhere in the middle. In AEW you just say whatever you feel like which makes it real. That means that when it's bad, it's bad. But when it's good... it's real good.
WWE is honestly too sterilized and sanitized for someone like Punk (or anyone in modern day, even the Rock or Steve Austin) to actually deliver anything with any sort of punch on it.
