Is Sami a main eventer? Outside of WWE, all the other promotions with corporate money behind them seem to be rehabbing a pretty depleted main event scene either from bad booking or talent turnover, so there's not much to compare it to.
I think Mark Henry, Ken Shamrock, Brian Pillman, William Regal, WCW Dustin Rhodes, maybe D'Lo Brown would all be bigger deals today. My wild card pick would be that fans in 2023 would appreciate Meng way more than they did in the 90s but I don't know if he would ever be a main eventer today outside of NJPW where Gedo loves Meng's shitter sons
