>>12594312Because it's like a whole cross-promotional thing where Trips and Shawn work the NXT to Main Roster pipeline as semi-continuous timeline for characters to first become stars in NXT and then move to main with that character intact.
- Instead of seeing it as training ground for new meat puppets to learn basics just for Vince to strip 'em clean of any character and draw something new on, whatever crazy vision that is. There's merit to doing that too sometimes though and I don't think Trips understands that part when he has shit in his hands like Top Dolla and Gargano, but I digress.
So, THE NEW NXT thing is that NXT graduates and others main roster stars will now be featured in the show more often and compete for the NXT titles while established stars will do a day or so trips to Florida to train new guys and have match spotlight on them as the new upcoming guys. This will promote NXT as a relevant "third show", as in, relevant and related to main roster instead of being just some school in Florida with WWE name on the side and help NXT improve or at least keep their ratings and live event attendance.
