Sadly Ibushi is 100% washed. His extended break during the pandemic after falling out with New Japan management really hurt him. Maybe he's just too sawdusted by all the injuries at this point (dude's like 40 after all) but he's nowhere near the physical shape he was at during his IWGP title reign and his timing on everything is off now. I think he really needs to reinvent his moveset to focus more on striking or something because he can't do his flippy spots anymore.

This is really the way to go. I think he has plenty left to give if he learns to work within his limitations. Look at how many years Mutoh added to his career after everyone thought he was done.
