I am a Britbong and I can honestly say, outside of IWC smark circles, nobody knows what NJPW is. They have pushed this global expansion line for years but are basically a glorified underground indie in terms of exposure. Comes across as a load of bullshit until they get an actual TV deal on a major network

To be fair, judging by their recent comments, their new "global" push is them giving up on the US expansion. They said they are going to focus on expanding more into Asia and the UK (I guess because they have a partnership with Rev Pro who can't/won't fuck them over).

They actually have TV deal with AXS TV (Impact home TV) but it's highlights show just like in their home country on TV. Most Japanese promotions airing live shows on their streaming service then airing the highlights on TV. That's mentally is the reason why NJPW Strong is a failure

Instead of every company making these interpromotional belts why can't they just make one between them?
AEW already made one that never gets defended outside of aew (international title), now they are making a second one by killing the roh belt. Who couldn't they just communicate and have all the partner companies drop something in and do a worthwhile tournament instead of the aew jobber tournament?

The way roh is currently run it should be either dropped completely or separated completely with an entire new crew. Having their world title absorbed into midcard title number 4 is just going to hurt them even more. All of there champions besides the women's one, that's pretty new, are either held by aew talent who never go to roh or were vacated for no reason on aew TV for no reason.
And it's behind a paywall, like who is actually paying to watch roh besides insane people?
