For example, if I want to fuck off for a week or two, I just need a large bowl of food, a trickling stream from the bathroom faucet, and a clean litter box. For a dog, I need someone to walk them and feed them and play with them and to stop them from tearing the place apart. Dogs require a community to get the most out of them while cats are more comfortable for asocial people. Both are great, loving companions.
