Yes, that's literally it. He had a run of completely terrible segments everyone hated, and his presentation was ridiculous (shit like coming down to a random match with just some guy with a fucking full entourage) because of it. The fanbase wasn't buying it, until he kept going so long, that eventually everyone assumed they had to be aware of how much the fans didn't want that version of Cody any more and assumed he was just doing it to work them, he leaned into it by releasing a shirt with an unticked box for Heel and Babyface, and then one with his neck tattoo in it with winner. Then 2 months later he was gone.

I've said it before and I'll say it again

Cody's presentation in AEW and WWE are exactly the same.
The only difference is the audience.
The AEW audience are typically people who hated Super Cena, hated the PG era, hated the endless Roman push, etc.
The WWE audience, on the other hand, are conditioned for the super PG babyface because that's what WWE was for like 15 fucking years at this point, and most of them know nothing else, and are perfectly content with the way things are.

Cody is where he belongs. It's the best place for him.

These are not the same audience and you can't make the comparison because they aren't the same wrestler. Cody was basically pushed out of WWE and got himself over in ROH and NJPW. Cody is organically over and has been in every company save the second-half of his AEW run. Roman was over for a few years as part of a decent faction, but his singles run has been a 10-year push that no one asked for. There is nothing organic about Roman. The AEW flippy shit audience that rejected Cody isn't the same that now watches him in WWE and also rejects Roman because the AEW audience now is about 500k smaller than when Cody was in AEW. None of this is comparable. And fuck off with your gay, stupid tripfag name.

The fans know what they want. The fact is Roman really isn't that great at what he does. It's been ten years of constant push and the dude can't cut a promo. Literally, they paired him with Heyman because he still can't talk. Cody wasn't great at promos and still isn't, but he at least improved. Maybe if Vince booked him better, who knows. The H2H between NXT and AEW pretty much exposed the fan base. When given a choice, about 200k people who normally watch Dynamite would watch NXT and total viewers for both combined were about 1.5 million. Which means that about 700k people who would watch wrestling on Wednesdays are put off by AEW and about 200k just like wrestling but prefer WWE. I think it's safe to say those 200k fans are your crossovers that also like NJPW and ROH and you can also probably assume that at least some of the 700k wrestling fas that hate AEW watch NJPW and watched old-school ROH.
