The Miz was a side attraction his entire life leeching off of dime wrestlers while Misawa was the main event that brought people in droves to see specifically him.

Case in point: The Miz has had literally tens of thousands more people watch him live than Misawa has. And yet, more people have chanted "Misawa" at him than anyone has ever chanted for the Miz while he was in the ring.

The Michaels is obvious. This fat gook has sold more tickets than The Miz has.

Misawa meant more to NOAH/AJPW than Miz means to WWE. Miz is still a versatile character that’s highly valuable to any company, but Misawa is a legendary top guy just like Austin, Hogan, Inoki, he’s in that S tier of legends. Not saying Misawa is as known, but he was the #1 guy.
