As is WWE, NXT, NJPW, Stardom, AAA, OVW and CMLL. Tony's only hope is that the dismal mutants who pay for WON see it more as a protest vote against WWE than a legitimate competition. He might struggle to crack the top 10 otherwise.

HHH legit deserves Booker of the Year. Nick Khan deserves an award for having social media flooded with the "WWE has the best stories" narrative. He convinced many people that they don't want what AEW gives them but they like the stuff around the wrestling. He reminded so many WWE Universals that they don't like wrestling because they like consenting violence, they like wrestling because they're gays, closet cases, and trannies.

If he had pulled the trigger on any of the Roman stuff whether it was Drew, Sami, or Cody I'd say yes. Instead he let the hottest wrestling angle in the last decade fizzle out into meaning nothing. Roman is still champion and may as well not even exist and yet he's already been pinned so there's no massive payoff for whoever it is ends up beating him for the belts anyway. Shit's all but heatless now. Look at the LA Knight match. People could hardly care

I hope it happens because Dave desperately wants his awards to be treated like they're an actual legitimate thing. Tony winning Booker & Promoter of the year, along with myriad of positive awards AEW is inevitably going to win alongside the inevitable myriad of negative awards WWE is going to "win" is not going to help the notion that the awards have a particular bias
