The value for a program is not only in base ad rates as a successful program also adds viewers before and after it runs, and increases overall interest in your network as those watching see the ads during the show and know what else you run, plus if a channel has one show you watch, you are much more likely to check to see what's on at other times as opposed to a channel you don't regularly watch. Networks also have other income streams such as social media and other programs which they use WWE stars on.

Thanks Fair-minded Anon. Your contributions are appreciated. When all of the other shows had ad rates that declined, Smackdown increased, which led to higher ratings for the news programs which followed in most major markets.

Didn’t happen. He said (after they left, coping when their advertising rates went up when everyone else went down) that they didn’t recoup as much revenue as they anticipated. Some Nielsen survey based analysis with 20-30% statistical error that you keep touting from your basement while trapped in a wheelchair alone is insignificant. All wrestling fans are shit. I make 6x that salary and I can assure you, I wasn’t counted.
