>>12644259Pretty retarded take. I was offering a solution for a foreigner in Japan, not trying to solve Japan's problem for Japanese people. If you're going to go live in Japan you will not break through their tightly knit culture as you say, so it's best to work for an international company that aligns with your values.
>No normal Japanese will actually want to work at an international company with international aka mutt work cultureThis is hilarious even if true. I can't speak for what the Japanese want, but it's undoubtedly better to work for a company that doesn't treat you like the average Japanese corpo slave. I know Americans can have it bad too so maybe you don't understand the difference if you're American. My Japanese co-workers much prefer working for our company because they aren't treated like slaves, which is funny because in the UK we have terrible work life balance compared to other companies here and I hate this shit comapny. But the people there are still Japanese. The entire offices are Japanese people, with maybe 2-4 people going over temporarily from the UK every now and then. The difference is that management is British so we don't have the expectation that they'll work for 12 hours a day for no extra pay or be denied their time off because work needs to be done and berated. Having to deal with actual Japanese companies is fucking unbearable, speaking from my limited experience dealing with some of our clients.
