I used to be a huge ufc fan, and now I literally cannot name a single active fighter on their roster. The UFC and the sport as a whole has kind of evolved into kind of a boring state. All the volatility from the early days while the sport was growing isn't there anymore.
It's just so samey-feeling now. Everyone has similar styles and similar looks. Guys like McGregor did help keep things interesting. I think chuds and gamblers keep it afloat. I'm a PRIDE mark so naturally I also feel the UFC can't do the spectacle that modern day gladiators deserve.

They had a hard drop after around 2021 I feel. They stopped putting on big fights, started cutting guys for money and hiring bums to fill the prelims and lower card which ultimately destroyed the potential of a solid future roster. I used to watch every fucking card, from early prelims to main event. Now it's a struggle to get through the main card.

Same as WWE. The viewership and interest has been plummeting and there's no stars but they're basically the only game in town and there's lots of blood money and ad money.

Usman/Masvidal is the only modern fight without McGregor to have million buys and outside of that their peak seems to be generally at about 700k. Which is a huge drop when McGregor could regularly break 1.5M and both Rousey and Lesnar basically always had million buys.
