>>12658338I refer to highly exaggerated physical communication as "slapstick", which might not be the right word, but I really don't care.
Stuff like: your boss scolds you, and when they turn around (and in sight of others), you do that motion where you pantomime wrapping your hands around someone's neck and make the wide-eyed "why I oughta" face....even better if they suddenly change the direction they're facing and you snap back to a natural pose.
That's not "normal" behavior. Adults don't act like that, especially at their jobs. Assuming you aren't some SSRI-addicted scumfuck, and have worked in multiple workplaces, you already know that. gesticulations, pantomime, exaggerated emoting - it's considered cartoon or sitcom TV behavior. But if you want to get a pop out of people (especially crushes in the workplace), that's how you do it.....goofy little interactions like that that aren't on camera, aren't performed for TikTok or Instagram, that are truly "you needed to be there". Women hate being left out of things, inside jokes and running gags in particular
You can call me an autist, you can type your little gay 1-sentence meme replies, but that's the logic, and it works. It's easy to memorize funny jokes, pick-up lines, flirting and comebacks (reddit /r/RoastMe or r/Tinder, sort by Top All time, done) -- it's a lot harder to memorize and execute well-timed physical comedy.
