For me probably that first or second Dynamite. The PPVs they did before I thought "Well he's just throwing shit together. Once they get the weekly show they'll be more consistent and organized." Thought I'd give them the benefit of the doubt. A couple of weeks in I knew they had no chance of growing.

The flubbed ending to the explosive barbed wire match. It felt like before that nobody was criticising AEW except for "blatant trolls" and it felt like that moment finally opened the doors to criticism and thats when AEW started getting more flack.

Not putting the title on Bryan when he debuted. Sure, he's turned out to be an injury prone raped bitch since then, but not capitalizing on AEWs hottest period and Tony's tendency to stubbornly stick to his booking plans instead of changing on the fly when advantageous really made me stop caring at that point.

Honestly, it was Cody for me. I thought his whole story was just a really long slow burn to an amazing heel turn. But no. They were just allowing him to schizo book himself. At that point I realized Tony was just letting everyone do whatever they wanted with no rhyme or reason.

I remember seeing that twink jungleboy and wondering what is going on in that company, and the next week they had an even smaller an emaciated version of jungleboy named Marko the next week. Didn't help they were paired with a dude who I know smells really bad and who got clowned on big brother

After Brawl Out was when everything felt off and hasn't ever really recovered. I completely checked out when they started forcing in ROH stuff and they pushed boring shitters like Yuta and Garcia.

I can't blame them for thinking that since Cody was clearly leaning into it towards the end of his AEW run.

Closing the door on Kendrick because he had an opinion and only a handful of people were pretending to be butthurt about it. Nobody cared about that opinion until he was about join AEW and as a result we lost out on some Kendrick Kino.

Never got to the point where I could enjoy the whole show.
Their vision is always going to be limited by the ever degrading talent pool. I don't care for their spot fests cause I've seen early Dragon Gate. I don't care for their serious technical matches or their hardcore borderline death matches cause I've seen early ROH. I don't care for their attempts at aping Japanese wrestling cause I've seen pretty much all the Japanese wrestling worth watching from the last 40 years.
I've enjoyed some of Danielson's stuff, I've enjoyed some of Cody's, some of MJF's and most of Punk's. But half those guys are gone, one is doing a lot of sports entertainment cringe, and Danielson I'm far too shoot concerned for his health to continue to enjoy his matches.
I appreciate them for giving them guys I use to watch on the indies their big pay days. But I just can't be a dedicated viewer of something that's 90% shit that would have been boo'd out of CZW in 2002.

I'll be honest. I'm new to wrestling. I watched a little bit when I was a kid, but I didn't really get into wrestling until 2021 when the WWE network was added to Peacock, which I was getting for free at the time. In 2021 when I started watching the weekly shows, I already thought AEW felt pretty amateurish compared to NXT, which I thought was the vastly superior show. Yeah Raw was boring and aggressively stupid at times, but I still didn't think AEW was good.
