You know how Young Bucks vs FTR have been booked to be special and good? His idea was FTR going over the Bucks in 5 minutes in a worked shoot to make it look like FTR beat them up and pinned them. Then to do promo offs and have FTR beat them in a long PPV match to blow it off. That's not art, that's dung. That's down there with ECW building to Taz vs Candido by having Taz beat Candido.

That was way different. Ogawa represented UWF-i and people didn't see him shit the bed in Pride yet so they thought he was a legit shooter. While Eric Bischoff took the right story from it (invading company vs established company,) Inoki thought it was the MMA vs wrestler aspect that drew for exactly one feud.

It wasn't but Randy Savage vs Lex Luger and Taz vs Candido stand out as "This is the main event of the PPV so they're doing it right now too." Then the person who wins also wins at the PPV. WWE will at least do it right where the person who wins does it in a way where you want to see them beaten at the PPV and they lose there.

However, Taz vs Candido at least was cool at the PPV (Taz squashes Candido and gets jumped by the Dudley Boyz, leading to the real main event. It was very ECW.)
