That means virtually nobody saw Kenny Omega's matches with Okada, or anything else he did.
When Omega was brought in, he had a virtually clean slate, because nobody knew who this guy was, and AEW could easily show exactly what Omega was all about.
This was not what AEW chose to do.
Instead, they presumed every single viewer is a mark for Japanese wrestling and already knows everything about Kenny Omega.
Now look at his AEW matches.
He's sawdusted. He spent a year revalidating from back surgery and hasn't done shit since coming back.
In the short time before that surgery, he had a stupid barbed wire death match with Botchley and exposed the ring structure, burying the impact of everything everyone else was doing (look at all that fucking foam).
That's why Kenny flopped in America.
He wasn't known, never got explained, and failed to show his best.
