Factions now have to be more organic and not a callback to some old shit, or just be total shit to start with so whatever happens after is an unexpected, pleasant surprise (like Judgement Day). An old guy trying to take young guys under his wing is just too cheesy so they need to have Punk get stuck with some guys he thinks are shitters, or have a bunch of NXT guys think Punk is an old boomer who they don't need to listen to, and develop it from there if they want to go that route.
