Nobody knows what they will say to each other, how the match will play out, or if they will actually give Punk the belt. It's up to them to create some drama during the Rumble to make people feel like somebody else could win. I am looking forward to the idea of Punk Rollins Night One and Codeman Reigns Night Two so hope they don't pull some bullshit.

Some anon who claimed to be an insider posted that the plans were for Drew McIntyre to win at Day 1 (I forgot who he's facing at WM) and Seth and Phil will have a WM feud based off of one eliminating the other from the RR. The reason I believe this is because he posted it like a week before the Day 1 match was announced (although maybe it could have been announced already in local advertising)
Additionally I believed it because the way the plans were laid out were so somehow typical of the way WWE does things that it would be a very impressive LARP if that's what it was

Nah road to WrestleMania is always hard to predict, everyone thought Theory would drop at EC, nobody thought Rhea will job to 50yo Beth on the way to WM crowning after that amazing Rumble match. Many thought Sheamus would win the triple threat, Asuka would win, Balor will end the feud by winning after losing at EC and ofc Roman retaining.

I don't think they're going to take away the main event from Seth and HHH loves having titles be the top focus, top match of the card, within reason. It has to be Punk/Seth night 1 for the WHC.

There's no way they're giving Punk a Rumble win, Mania main event AND world title 3 months into his return. Even if WWE and Punk are playing nice now, he still has to pay A LOT more dues and prove he's a team player first. And I think he knows this.

I also think rough plans for the Mania main events were figured out before he agreed to return at Survivor Series and they're not going to throw out those plans

Punk vs Rollins is the Mania match.
If its for the WHC that match only ends one way: Priest cashing in the MITB as karmic retribution for Rollins (it also protects Punk and Rollins in defeat)

HHH has actually done a good job building up Drew, Jey, Sami Zayn and Gunther and they all need to have viable Mania matches.

The strike against Drew winning the WHC at Day 1 is if he still hasn't signed a new contract
But it is well past time for Seth to drop the belt, Drew has earned it and it'll help pump up Raw ratings when they trying to get a lucrative new TV deal for it

If Drew wins the WHC, I could see Drew vs Sami for the WHC at Mania (And you could still do the Priest cash-in and have Sami be Raw's lead babyface chasing after Judgement Day)

Jey vs Jimmy seems inevitable... but Jimmy isn't on the same level as Jey anymore and Jey vs Jimmy vs Solo would work better

Maybe we get Jey vs Gunther at Mania and Jey wins (I'm thinking Gunther becomes world champ at either Bash in Berlin or the month before at Summerslam)

Its starting to feel like Reigns vs Cody II is inevitable... but Cody *has to* win but I can't help but think WWE really did want Reigns to break Hogan's record
They can't have Cody lose twice and win on the third try and they also can't keep Cody and Reigns separated until September 2024
