I’m from the SMW area, that shit was great when they’d come to my fucking high school gym. I met the Rock n Roll in a Walmart parking lot when they were selling gimmicks out of their trunk and I was like, seven. I swear Robert was getting a blow job in the back seat in front of everyone. SMW was based as fuck but it wasn’t a national show and Jim wasn’t going to get rich off that. The market sucked, he was smart enough to call it before he lost what cash opportunities he still had. It’s not glamorous, but nothing in wrestling ever is. I think Jim’s legacy is the same as Paul’s with ECW; regional guys who pushed it about as far as it would go and knew enough to walk away before it got worse. Tony is going to be Dixie 2.0 wasting his inheritance on fucking wrestling.
