This "Chris Jericho is le goat" thing only became a meme when he showed up to AEW. He's good, and he has his place in the history books, but he was never the guy, and never had the capability of being the guy.

Also, the constant refrain of smarks about how great he is because he "constantly re-invents himself" is a cope about the fact that none of his gimmicks have lasting power.

I think Jericho was a 10/10 in all categories, but at different times

10/10 look during his WCW early WWF and then again in that later short haired look
10/10 promo in WCW and early WWF but became repetitive after that, fell too much into a pattern

and Jericho wasn't a 10/10 worker until later into his career, during his short-haired run. He was sloppy a bit when he was younger but he should be commended on never getting hurt and also never hurting anyone else.

And Jericho never got mogged to death in the Attitude Era. He looked like he belonged, probably because he carried a lot of muscle back then.

This is a weird way of twisting a positive. It's entertaining how he comes up with new things that get over. The fact that he has been relavent for so long is the lasting power lol.
He definitely has had some sour runs, but his comedic heel work is top notch. I think he should just transition to a manager now but he'll probably milk a few more years with his dad bod.

He was undersized during the Attitude Era and early Ruthless Aggression. That's why he roided and wore lifts.

I feel like 2008 Jericho was 8/10 all around. He hit his peak that year.
