Kidd Bandit is very good at convincing people that he's the next big thing, or at least pandering to people through basic anime references, horny cosplaying, and ticking every checkbox that a teenager would find appealing on social media. Bandit's strongest ability is not in the ring or in his promos, but being able to promote his existence through constant usage of Twitter and talking like a millennial journalist working for an anime/gaming website trying to clickbait people through the lowest hanging fruit possible, and claiming to not be corporate influenced despite being trained by AEW's personal coach and former EVP and getting on Dark early into his career. It exudes such a fake and disingenuous aura to not only the character, but the person as well. It's a great ability to have, and as long as nobody watches your matches you can get very far using this tactic to your advantage, similar to Warhorse or Effy. However, watching the limited amount of matches/promos Bandit has, you see an obviously green wrestler trying to do overly flashy moves regardless of whether they connect, have any fluidity, or make sense - like he's overdoing his martial arts gym moves in the ring to show off in a talent agent demo reel for a stuntman spot on a TV show, and you hear promos with a shaky voice and the old fallback of yelling in an attempt to make things seem more "intense." Kidd Bandit is still a rookie just like any other, maybe even a little worse in-ring and promo-wise, with a character, attitude, and presentation that's just insultingly shallow and stereotypical.
