Chris Benoit in terms of impact. Notable doesn’t just mean they did good things. The dude genuinely changed the rules in WWE changed the wellness policy. He’s one of the bigger things to ever happen in wrestling.

Onita is responsible for a specific style of professional wrestling. Notable does not always mean successful or good or good natured, or a good person. It just means that you are notable within that field and there are every now 20 to 30 fucking idiots who cut themselves up on light tubes and barbed wire because of Onita. Billy Sandau was the first manager ever. He’s basically the reason that Bobby Heenan Jim Cornette all of those guys exist. Verne was Verne. There’s no way that you know the Japanese guys and don’t know Verne. Carlos booked Puerto Rico and killed Bruiser Brody. I don’t know the other two.

Not anti smark, I like all of their work especially Danielson & Sting. But Piper and Savage are infinitely more noteable and impactful in pop culture than any of them, far far bigger more famous names, and Kane is also much more well known & remembered by casuals or people only vaguely aware of wrestling.
