Secondly because, if the Capitalists did want to reduce the world's population all they would do is stop sending money to Africa to prop up their populations, then also introduce better access to contraception and give women there the pill en mass. Africa's population would then stagnate and decrease. They would then stop importing millions of people from Africa and the Middle East into Europe each year, this would cause Europe's population to begin to decrease. This would then allow for deindustrialisation which would be a net benefit for everybody in the world. Unfortunately Capitalism will never, ever allow this scenario to take place so instead we will just have constant population growth until we are all living in pods, eating ze bugs and the world is a polluted mess.
