>>12756158The 90s were the worst point of wrestling until about 2017ish to 2022. New Generation was legit garbage and the Attitude Era was the best thing to ever happen to wrestling outside of the late 70s early 80s. Subjectively I think mid 80's to early 90s PWN wrestling from Portland Oregon is the greatest wrestling of all time, but my opinion is seasoned by those nights spent with my grandpa, drunk off his ass, watching PNW with me and tell me all the stories about PNW while he smoked his pipe and the handful of occasions where he drove me up to Portland for a big show to watch it live.
Buddy Rose, Rowdy Roddy Piper, Matt Bourne, and Billy Jack Haynes WERE wrestling to me for my childhood. I still remember my the time my grandpa drove me up to Portland for my birthday. He came over and woke me up at two in the morning, we spent three hours driving, picked up breakfast of hotcakes and sausage at McDonalds, I got to be part of Ramblin' Rod's Super Cartoon Show in the morning, and spent the night watching PWN live from the front row.
I miss my grandpa, and America used to be a proper country.
