>>12755980>Vince Sr gifted Jr the companyI don't know how this retarded reading of history has started being circulated but it's completely wrong. Vince Sr fought tooth and nail to not sell to Vince Jr and, in fact, sold the company to TWO other buyers before him who failed to complete the purchase due to lack of funds.
Vince Jr was also independently successful as a promotor outside of wrestling before he bought the company. He and Linda used to promote rock concerts and other sporting events at a stadium that they bought shares in. They got the money by remortgaging Linda's parents house. Vince Sr did not want Jr to own Capitol and tried to sell to literally every other buyer until there was only Jr left. Then he left him with some frankly bullshit payment terms on the leveraged buyout that nobody sensible would possibly have agreed to.
I presume this is some sort of reaction to Tony Khan being called a nepobaby. Console warriors can't handle that so instead Vince must also now be a nepobaby despite history.
And as this post says, even if Vince was a nepobaby, which is absolutely not what happened and the historical record is extremely clear, he's also the world's most successful ever live event promoter.
