>>12758298WWE doesn't act like other wrestling exists and the fans follow suit. In WWE, you'd do VTR sizzle packages and jobber squashes before the dream match because they assume you don't like wrestling, you just like WWE and you only know WWE.
AEW assumes you like wrestling (remember when Tony was going to copyright 'Watch Your Wrestling'? lol.) AEW assumes you follow backstage gossip and rumors either via a paid service or from a free website that reposts the paid stuff. They assume you have put real thought into ranking your top 5 Wrestlemanias. So AEW thinks that just announcing the name is enough because their fans would have seen the gifs from AAA on Reddit or Instagram and known the name already.
But that's the issue, isn't it? There's not that many fans like that. That's why we come online, because usually wrestling fans talk about surface level shit. But it's funny on 4chan because most of the posts are surface level shit. And a lot of it is astroturfing because /asp/ was never as active as /pw/ even when r/The_Donald banhammers were dropping. So liking wrestling enough to know wrestling is bad in WWE and on 4chan.
So that's why this is a WWE board. It is easier for a smart person to find something charming in a bad show for dumb people than it is for dumb people to find something they comprehend in a bad show for smart people where head canon is encouraged.
