Him being fat didn't help since Brock and Lashley are the same size as him but jacked, his gimmick quite literally only works on the indies and AEW to some degree

Being a huge fat guy that the scrawny, indie dweebs larping as wrestlers are intimidated by. His special trait was that he's surprisingly agile for a man of his size. Not even close. Brock is more athletic and has a legit wrestling background. Brock is far more impressive both in terms of look and in the ring too. Brock has a ton more presence and is a much bigger star. Brock can pull off impressive power moves, but more importantly he understands how to work to the crowd to maintain his image and get reactions. Brock is one of the few draws left in wrestling today. To compare him to a fat indie wrestler is absurd.
