yep, I miss back in the days when they would have wrestlemania tier matches just on random raws.

last night somebody posted the kurt vs brock iron man match from smackdown and it really made me think how these days we never have any giant matches or belts changing hands on tv anymore for world titles

It actually was. Wrestling was experiencing a renaissance, vidya was still good, a decent amount of movies and TV shows were still good(they were going downhill but things weren't that bad yet), music was pretty okay, most people gave zero shits about politics, and the internet was awesome instead of the complete fucking shitshow it is today. Zoomers will never know how good things really were.

When did this change though? Back then it was normal to see cage, tlc, ladder and table matches on raw and smackdown. Title matches were also frequent. Now champion is having barely any matches at all and all special matches are in ppvs.
