do you guys remember the Hackerman gimmick? just before covid really shit the country down they had vignettes of a hacker showing up on smackdown and taking over the show more and more each week….then the angle was mysteriously and suddenly dropped.

Vince was invited by Trump (along with the leaders of all other major sports organizations) in 2020 for a closed doors meeting around this time. I think Trump warned Vince (btw, his close friend) how bad things really might become, and so Vince had the hackerman gimmick be a fallback option if they could no longer continue taping episodes of Smack/Raw.

The hackerman would have sent the wwe to the “virtual world” (wwe 2k21) and the storylines would have continued in there, virtually, along with taped vignettes and re-runs. It would have been a way to continue the product while taping was paused due to covid.

This is my ultimate theory about wrestling, and i think it makes total sense.

vince would never let his “longest episodic show in tv history” title go away.

Supposedly there is footage of Big Show doing a moonsault as The Giant in his early WCW run. Many fans have claimed to have witnessed it and some even have said it aired on TV which is now presumed to be lost media. Big Show did confirm in a recent interview that he actually did perform it at least once or twice in WCW and multiple times before that

Does anyone remember that former ring rat who accused Heyman & Meltzer of sexually abusing her or something when she was underage? Supposedly, she was Heyman's roomate at like 14 & some people thought she was making up being with Meltzer until she talked about how autistic he was in an interview that seemed too specific to be baseless allegations. I remember in that early 90s time period where the fed had heat from the steroid trials and guys like Hogan dropped mass that Ultimate Warrior came back for some sort of in-ring thing wearing a top that had fake airbrushed on muscles. I can't find a pic of this.

Vader was brought to NJPW by Beat Takeshi/Kitano Takeshi to fuck Antonio Inoki's shit up after they had a worked angle in a popular tv show that year. When Vader beat Inoki after Inoki's match with Choshu, people rioted and it turned into a huge controversy. At that time in the late 80s, wrestling wasn't as hot as it used to be so Inoki booked all of that (having a mainstream beloved celeb in Beat Takeshi involved and a mysterious big ass foreigner beating him) to generate heat and bring back the public interest to wrestling and he was massively successful at what he did. Even when the fans rioted, burned down the Sumo Hall and got himself banned from holding shows there, it was all very worth it. He then used Vader to further cement the Three Musketeers as the future's top faces of the company by booking him against them in three separate matches from 1989 to 1991.
