>>12787951That pop for Bryan is huge. AEW killed him. Part of the appeal of Bryan (and KO as well I believe) is the fact that they are over. Being successful makes them more successful because there's a positive feeling of "wtf I can't believe he's doing it good for him". Bryan played the game, shot the ads, did the reality show, and was a celebrity. He didn't try to tear down the corporate structure, he found a way to thrive in it and prove his worth. When you take that corporate structure away and give him total freedom it becomes less endearing because he isn't winning against anything. There's no "holy shit I can't believe this is working out so well" sensation.
I remember thinking "holy shit I can't believe Daniel Bryan is able to wrestle again AND he's still great AND he's world champion again AND he's in a Wrestlemania main event for the second time AND he's in a Wrestlemania main event for a third time. That success aspect of his appeal is completely gone.
Randy got Roman pretty high up for that slam that was pretty cool. You can see him putting in all the work in this match. Roman fucking sucked then and he fucking sucks now.
