RAW after WrestleMania, Cody is standing in the ring, mic in hand, enjoying day one of his championship reign, belt on his waist. He does his usual "I cured racism, my wife is black, yadda yadda" schtick. Then, all of a sudden Shan McMahon's music hits.
Shane O'mac comes down the ramp, strutting like a peacock. He slides under the ring ropes, pics up a mic thrown to him, and happily congratulates Cody.
Cody tells him the congratulations can't be genuine. He didn't like him before and doesn't now. Shane says no, he truly is! Because now everything has lined up perfectly.
Shane mentions he has a client that was waiting for this moment and would like to speak to him about that shiny new belt he has:
(MJF's Theme hits, entire arena explodes)
MJF walks into ring, music still playing, holds out hand to Cody. Rhodes reluctantly shakes it. MJF pulls Cody up to his face, spits in it, and knees him in the groin.
MJF picks up the belt, puts it on his waist, and walks out of the arena.
