>>12814782There's contracts all over sports/entertainment that aren't fully guaranteed, especially for multiple years beyond the current year. I highly doubt TK signed 150+ talents too 100% guaranteed contracts - he's an NFL guy, they're constantly shuffling the back end of their rosters around with non-guaranteed/non-vested players.
AEW likely have some kind of severance (3 months?) or possibly the balance of the year, but not 100% of every single week left unless they're a top star like Moxley, Danielson, Riho, etc. And for the talent who do have some/lots of guarantees, you could probably buy them out for 20-50% of the guaranteed amount left if you let them walk with a 30/60/90-day non-compete. I doubt any of them would rather sit at home for 12/18/24+ months during their prime, just running out the clock.
